Holy Name of Jesus believes in supporting all students with academic, social, and behavioral needs. Our school “Nest” is full of work spaces, flex seating, small group stations, student resources, and a calm-down area. Working in collaboration with teachers, staff, and parents, we provide student support programs to help enrich our students' learning. Support services include working with students individually, in small groups, and within the classroom.
Holy Name of Jesus adopted benchmark systems through NWEA and Renaissance STAR Reading assessments to help identify students in need of support. Through this identification process we offer Math and Reading interventions within the Fountas and Pinnell Leveled Literacy Program.
As our students navigate their educational journey, it is crucial that we nurture their social-emotional health and well-being. A variety of social emotional supports are in place through life skills classes across all grade levels, a middle school advisory program, and a buddy program. These programs facilitate greater self-esteem, improve social skills, increase interpersonal relationships, and promote a positive school culture.
