In this age of technology, it is imperative that children develop computer skills early on in preparation for the future. Skills include keyboarding, programming, writing skills, critical thinking skills, collaboration skills including subjects across the curriculum, enhancing English skills, and preparing reports and essays with proper citation skills in preparation for high school, college, and beyond.
Technology changes rapidly, so Pam continues to take professional development courses, and attend workshops, seminars, and conventions to keep current in the area of computer science. She is a member of ISTE (International Society of Technology in Education), and LACUE (Louisiana Association of Computer Users in Education).
