Sacristans: These students were dedicated and responsible in fulfilling their duties of the care of the sacristy and setting up the church, and occasionally the auditorium, for weekly school masses and also scheduling altar servers each week. We recognize and thank Alice Long and Sophia Jones.
High School Scholarships: The following students received scholarships and awards from the high schools they will be attending. This is based on their hard work and dedication during their time at Holy Name of Jesus.
The Karen Graffagnini Favret ‘62 Endowed Scholarship from Dominican High School is a 5 year academic scholarship that is awarded each year to incoming students demonstrating academic excellence. The criteria used to determine scholarship recipients include elementary school grades, standardized test scores, conduct and effort grades, and DHS High School Placement test scores. This scholarship was awarded to Hailey Walker.
The Academy of the Sacred Heart Duchesne Award is given to an incoming eighth grade student who is joining their community from an archdiocesan parish school. This award was awarded to Arden Tujague.
Outstanding Overall Academic Achievement Award: The award for Outstanding Overall Academic Achievement for all subjects for the 7th grade class. We proudly presented this award to Leon Edmond.

Daughters of the American Revolution Youth Citizenship Medal: The Daughters of the American Revolution Youth Citizenship Medal and certificate is presented to a student who has shown outstanding qualities of service, courage, leadership, honor, patriotism, and concern for others. This year’s award went to Stella Gilberti.
Mother McCauley Award: Mother Catherine McCauley, the foundress of the Sisters of Mercy, was driven by love and especially by these words of Jesus which inspired her vision: “I have come so that they may have life and have it to the full.” To enjoy life to the fullest requires above all, the experience of love: the love of family, love of friends, and the love of God. Exemplifying Mother McCauley’s qualities of leadership, courage, service, and kindness, this year’s award went to Daphne Beasley.
St. Ignatius Loyola Award: St. Ignatius Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus, lived by the motto Ad majorem Dei gloriam (for the greater glory of God). Ignatitus decided that he would use the talents God had given him-his strength, leadership, ability, bravery, and his intelligence to serve God and God’s people. Exemplifying St. Ignatius' qualities, this year’s award went to Leon Edmond.
