Baseball Team Named NOAL Champions

In a back and forth thriller, Holy Name defeated Trinity this week to win the NOAL championship in baseball!

Thanks to great offense from Dominic, Patrick, and Calvin the Gators jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first inning and added another run in the second to make it 4-0. Trinity then made their first run to tie the game at four before the Gators broke it open again.

Consecutive basehits by Reed, Sam, Ford, and Daniel helped to add four runs and Calvin hit an inside-the-park homerun to extend the lead.

The Titans made another run in the last inning and tied the game at 9 but a great play by Patrick prevented the winning run from scoring. In extra innings, Dominic scored to give the Gators a one-run lead and then came in to pitch.

Trinity managed to load the bases with two outs but a groundout ended the game and sent the Gators home with the championship trophy.
