In 2021, the Culicchia family established the Margaret I. Culicchia Elementary School Tuition Foundation to help families in need who are seeking Catholic education for their children.
Our seventh grade class of 2022 celebrated their final Mass together as a class on May 24, followed by an awards and promotion ceremony. We are so proud of this class and their strong leadership this past year. All students were accepted to their High School of choice! We congratulate each member of the class on their outstanding achievements!
Through our partnership with Loyola University, Holy Name of Jesus middle school students had the opportunity to become museum docents for an Anne Frank exhibit on the Loyola campus, allowing them the opportunity to learn about the life of Anne Frank and empathize with those who experienced the Holocaust.
After more than 100 years of living side by side as neighbors, Loyola University New Orleans and Holy Name of Jesus Parish and School are taking their relationship to the next level. On Tuesday, the heads of all three institutions, together with the Archdiocese of New Orleans, announced via video a new partnership that will help students, families, faculty and staff to grow together in community, faith, learning, ministry and mission.

Holy Name of Jesus School has announced the appointment of Mrs. Grace King as our new Dean of Academic Innovation for the 2021-2022 school year. This new role merges the oversight of our technology and academic programs.
Our second graders attended Mass and received their First Reconciliation on January 27. Father Mark shared a beautiful message with our children and their families about how God cleans up our "messy hearts" through the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
This year has presented financial challenges for the school, but we are proud that we have been able to safely bring our students back into the classroom. With the uncertainty of holding fundraising events during COVID, our Annual Fund is more important than ever this year!
